Installation manual

INTRO
DAMA is an indoor wireless siren with a sound power of 100 DB (one meter). It has a modern line and accurate design. It installs and configures quickly thanks to easy-fix support and guarantees a 5-year autonomy with the pre-installed batteries.
OPERATION
DAMA INDOOR works within the D’AVINCI system with a range of up to 1500 meters (in free space) by connecting, via radio, directly to the Lisa control panel or via Automa repeater. The communication is bidirectional (transmission/reception) with the indication of confirmation of receipt and command. In the case of obstacles such as walls, objects, etc. the range is reduced. It uses a high-efficiency piezoelectric transducer that can deter any attackers. It also has tamper anti-tampering able to instantly signal the removal from the wall and the opening of the body.
The communication protocol, like the connections between all the components of the system, is the GENIO, encrypted and protected from interception.
The configuration is done through D’AVINCI app downloadable free from iOS and Android.
The Siren operates on two frequencies in the 868 MHz band, automatically and dynamically positioned on the one that is free or less interfered.
DEVICE CONFIGURATION IN THE D’AVINCI SYSTEM
Warning. Before adding the device:
- Install the D’AVINCI app, available for iOS/Android, on your smartphone.
- Create an account. Add a D’AVINCI Control Panel, save the necessary settings and create at least one Room
- Make sure the Control Panel is on and has internet access via Ethernet cable.
- Make sure the Control Panel is off and not running updates by checking its status via the mobile application.
To add a device to the control panel, in the D’AVINCI app 1
- Select the Tab Device 2
- Click on Add Device
- Name the device
- Insert the serial number of the device shown on the label or click on icon
to scan the code via the app.
- Select the associated Room for the device.
- Click Add – a countdown will start.
- Remove the tab from the batteries , so as to Power the device (see installation phase of the device).
When paired with the control panel, the siren will appear in the list of devices in the D’AVINCI App.The connection request to the Control Panel is transmitted for a short period of time as soon as the device is switched on.
If the connection to the AVINCI control panel fails, turn off the detector for 5 seconds and repeat the procedure.
1 Installer privileges are required.
2 To start the configuration procedure, the device must be within the radio communication zone of the associated Control Panel.
installation of the siren
Make sure you have selected the ideal installation location according to the guidelines in this manual.
The place of installation of the siren affects the connection with the control panel and any obstacles between the devices can block the transmission of the radio signal. Such obstacles can be walls, floors or large objects within a room.
If the signal level is low, stable operation of the safety system is not guaranteed. Please take any measures to improve the signal quality.
First, try to move the siren , if that was not enough and the device still has a low or unstable signal strength, use a radio signal repeater.
To install the device

Fix the support to the wall through the supplied screws.

Remove the tabs from the batteries.

Fix the siren on the support with the special locking screw.

- In unprotected areas or premises (outdoors).
- Close to metal objects or mirrors that could attenuate or block the radio signal.
- Next to other radio devices (gsm/wireless router/etc.) to avoid mutual interference
- In environments where temperature or humidity values may be higher than the limits indicated in Technical specifications.
OPERATING SETTINGS
The detector settings can be changed in the D’AVINCI app (Installer privileges are required):
- Go to device tab
- Select the device from the list.
- Go to settings by clicking on the icon (gear)
DEVICE NAME
Siren name , display in the device list and as notification text.
It can hold up to 24 characters
ROOM
Selecting the virtual room to which the device is assigned the environment name appears in notifications.
Note: Changing this parameter requires Administrator privileges
AUDIBLE ALARM
It shows how the siren reacts to alarms.
– Always: the siren is activated for all reports received in o
– Only inserted: the siren, with the system inserted, immediately signals the alarm
SIREN VOLUME
Adjusts the acoustic intensity of the device:
– Disabled
– Low
– Normal
– High
REPORTING TIME
Sets the duration of the device’s signal.
[ 5 – 180] seconds
TONE BEEP
Sets the sound tone of the siren.
[ 1 – 8] seconds
TAMPERING ALARM
Allows you to enable/disable the device acoustic signal in case of
tampering.
ACOUSTIC SETTINGS
Enables/disables the acoustic indication of the device.
-Switched on/Off: If enabled, the siren warns you of insertion and disconnection
with a light indication and a short beep.
-Inserted/Off Stay : If enabled, the siren warns you of insertion and
Stay mode deactivation with a light indication and a short acoustic signal.
-Input delay: If enabled, the siren will sound a short sound
late entry
-Output delay: If enabled, the siren will beep a delay
on exit.
-Stay mode input delay: if enabled, the siren signals, with a short signal
acoustic, a delay at the entrance in Stay mode
-Stay mode output delay: if enabled, the siren signals, with a short signal
acoustic, an outgoing delay in Stay mode
REPEATER
Enables the connection of the device to the system through an Automa repeater.
Repeater number:
indicates the number of the repeater to which the device is associated.
VERIFICATION OF RADIO CONNECTION
Allows you to enable the alarm in case of failure to communicate with the Central. If disabled, the report of failure to connect to the control panel will be stored exclusively.
Ping interval: The time interval, in seconds, between one survival transmission and the next in the absence of activation.
– [ 12 :600 ] seconds
Ping number: number of connection attempts before radio failure report
– [ 1 : 15 ]
RADIO SIGNAL INTENSITY TEST
With this function, the device after pressing the START button processes a test where it will indicate via app, the signal strength up to a maximum of 4 notches.
TEST VOLUME
With this function, the device after pressing the START button will perform an acoustic test.
EXCLUDE DEVICE
No: The device works normally and transmits all events/alarms
All: The device does not execute the sent commands. The system ignores the
device and its notifications.
Cover Only: The system ignores notifications about activating the (tamper) button
tampering with the device.
REMOVE DEVICE
Dissociate the detector from the Control Panel, removing it from the app and deleting the device settings.
INTENSITY GENIO SIGNAL
To display the signal strength select the card Devices and the signal level field GENIO
0 = No radio signal, no connection to control panel.
• = Poor radio signal, unstable connection with the Control Panel , operation of the detector not guaranteed.
• • = Low radio signal, low signal strength.
• • • = Good radio signal, good signal strength.
• • • • = Excellent radio signal, optimal signal strength.
Check the radio signal strength before the final installation of the device. In case of low or unstable signal it is recommended to use the Automa repeater.
device status
The status shows information and parameters of operation of the device.
To view the status:
- Access the D’AVINCI application
- Select the Control Panel on which the detector is associated
- Go to Devices tab
- Select the detector

Replacing the batteries
The battery life of the siren depends on the quality of the battery, the frequency of activation and relative duration of the acoustic device and the ping interval between the siren and the control panel.
If the battery of the detector is low, the user receives a notification via the app.

Unscrew the tightening screw from the wall bracket.

Release the Siren from the stirrup.

Remove the empty batteries and replace them with new ones.

Reassemble the Siren on its bracket and tighten the screw to lock it.
warnings and malfunctions
– the siren is removed from the installation location or the detector housing is open (tamper-proof active)
