INTRO
Globo Cam is a wireless indoor volume detector with integrated camera(automatic day/night)for photo-verification function. Installation height and 2.1 m.The battery is pre-installed, has a life span of up to 5 years and is equipped with a PIR detector that can detect intruders within 12 meters. Equipped with an integrated camera with a viewing angle of 92° horizontal and 70° vertical, it is able to send 3/5 images on the APP D’AVINCI depending on the resolution set.
OPERATION
Globo Cam has a 9-beam horizontal fresnel lens with coverage up to 90° and 4 vertical beams.
Antimask active on IR for blinding contact lens.
Configuration of the IR sensitivity on three levels, alarm signal led.
After detecting movement, the integrated camera takes a series of photos, which allow you to check the alarm and notify to the Surveillance center if necessary.
The detector operates on four frequencies in the 868 MHz band and it is positioned automatically and dynamically on the one that is free or less interfered.
The detector is part of the system D’AVINCI with a range up to 1500 meters (in free space) connecting directly via radio to Lisa or via repeater Automa. The communication is of the type bidirectional (transmission/reception) with the indication of confirmation of receipt and command. The range is reduced in case of obstacles such as walls, objects etc. are encountered.
The communication protocol which manages the connections between all components of the system is the encrypted GENIO protected from interception.
The sensor configuration is done via D’AVINCI app which can be downloaded free of charge from IOS and Android.
PHOTO VERIFICATION
The detector has an infrared illumination to take photos in the dark that activates automatically in case of low light.
There are two types of photo-check: alarm photos, photos on request:
The alarm signal of Globo Cam can be accompanied by an image or a series of photos in the D’AVINCI App. The detector takes one or more pictures when the control unit is in insertion mode.
Photos can be viewed in the app as images or animated photo series (if more than one photo is taken). The number of images acquired is set in the D’AVINCI App. To view the photos you received, click on the corresponding Globo Cam notification in the event log.

2. Photo on request (on-demand)
The On-demand photo function allows users to take photos with the built-in camera of the detectors. With this function, you can check the situation on the system, for example: check what children are doing or pets are doing or just what is happening at home.

DEVICE CONFIGURATION IN THE D’AVINCI SYSTEM
Warning. Before adding the device:
- Install the D’AVINCI app, available for iOS/Android, on your smartphone.
- Create an account. Add a D’AVINCI Control Panel, save the necessary settings and create at least one Room
- Make sure the Control Panel is on and has internet access via Ethernet cable.
- Make sure the Control Panel is off and not running updates by checking its status via the mobile application.
To add a device to the control panel, in the D’AVINCI app1
- Select the Tab Device 2
- Click on Add Device
- Assign a name to the device
- Insert the device serial number on the label or click on the icon
to acquire the code via app.
- Select the Room associated for the device.
- Click on Add – a countdown will start
- Press the ON/OFF button on the back to power the device
The detector green LED flashes when it is on. The warning LED will start flashing red. When the detector is connected to the control panel, it will appear in the list of devices in the D’AVINCI App.
Then you will need to close the tamper, placing it on its own bracket, this to allow the calibration phase, with the LED red intermittent for about a minute. When the light is off, the device is ready to detect movements and transmit them to the control panel.
The connection request to the control panel is transmitted for a short time as soon as the device is switched on.
If the connection to D’AVINCI control panel does not work, switch off the detector for 5 seconds and repeat the procedure.
Detector installation
The location of the sensor affects the connection to the Control Panel and any obstacles between the devices may block the transmission of the radio signal. Such obstacles can be walls, floors or large objects within a room.
To install the detector

Selecting the Detector Installation Location
The total size of the protected area and, consequently, the efficiency of the safety system depend on the location of the detector.
The device is intended for installation in indoor spaces only.
The location of the Globo Cam detector affects the connection to the Control Panel and any obstacles between the devices may block the transmission of the radio signal.
Such obstacles can be walls, floors or large objects within a room.
Check the signal level at the installation site.
If the signal level is low, the stable operation of the safety system is not guaranteed. Please take any measures to improve the quality of the signal! First, try to move the device: a move of only 20 cm can greatly improve the quality of the reception
If the device still has a low or unstable signal strength after moving, use a radio signal repeater.
It is recommended that the detector lenses be oriented perpendicular to the likely point of access to the room.
Ensure that there are no furniture, houseplants, vases, decorative or glass structures blocking the detector’s field of view.
It is recommended to install the detector at a height of 2.1 meters.

If the detector is not installed at the recommended height, the motion detection area will be reduced.
- In unprotected areas or premises (outdoors).
- Near metal objects or mirrors that may attenuate or block the radio signal.
- Next to other radio devices (gsm/wireless router/etc.) to avoid mutual interference
- In environments where temperature or humidity values may exceed the limits specified in the Technical Specifications.
OPERATING SETTINGS
The detector settings can be changed in the D’AVINCI app (Installer privileges are required):
- Go to device tab
- Select the device from the list.
- Go to settings by clicking on the icon (gear)
DEVICE NAME
Detector name, displayed in the device list and as notification text. It can contain up to 24 characters.
ROOM
Selecting the virtual room to which the device is assigned the environment name appears in notifications.
Note: Changing this parameter requires Administrator privileges
METHOD OF ALARM
It shows how the detector reacts to alarms.
– Instantaneous: the detector, when the system is in place, immediately signals the alarm.
– Delayed: the detector, with the system inserted, signals the alarm after a time counter (see input/ output delay).
Input delay: 5 to 120 seconds.
Entry delay is the time that the user has to disconnect the system after entering the protected area.
Output delay: 5 to 120 seconds.
Exit delay is the time that the user has to leave the protected area after insertion.
– Continued: The detector adds input/output delays of devices that detected an alarm before it. When activated individually, it immediately triggers the alarm
STAY MODE ARMED
Pairing the detector to night mode. This type of insertion allows, for example, to insert the perimeter area and allows people to move freely in other areas.
- Input delay in stay mode: 5 to 120 seconds.
Entry delay is the time that the user has to disconnect the system after entering the protected area. - Output delay in stay mode: 5 to 120 seconds.
Exit delay is the time that the user has to leave the protected area after insertion.
ALWAYS ACTIVE
If this option is enabled, the detector is always armed, detects the alarm condition and sends the signal to the Control Panel.

Replacing batteries
Keep the detector housing clean by immediately removing dust, cobwebs and other impurities. Use a soft, dry towel for equipment maintenance.
To clean the detector, avoid the use of substances containing alcohol, acetone, gasoline or other active solvents.
The battery life of the detector depends on the quality of the battery, the frequency of activation of the detector and the ping interval between detector and Central.
If the battery of the detector is low, the user receives a notification via D’AVINCI app.
ATTENTION: in case of low battery, the detector does not send photos both for alarm and request.
